Texting and Driving. Why It Can Wait?
Texting and other social media interaction has become popular and can be seen in restaurants, on public transportation, while crossing the street and driving.
It Costs lives!
Research from the Cohen Children's Medical Center shows that texting and driving now exceed drinking as the number one cause of death among teenage drivers. Teens killed annually as a result of texting was 10% higher than teens driving under the influence of alcohol.
Another study from Virginia Tech found that teens who text while driving are nearly one quarter more likely to get in an accident that those who avoid it.
Though it may take a few seconds, and seem reasonable, it can have fatal consequences for yourself and others.
It is Illegal!!!
You can be charged $1,500.00 if caught texting and driving, leaving you in financial burden.
